One
of the many reasons why I am so excited to go to Baguio was to visit Sitio La
Presa! :) But if you are to go to the actual Sitio La Presa as shown in the teleserye
“Forevermore”, then you would not definitely find it, why? Because this doesn’t
exist, it’s just a fictional place and there is no Sitio La Presa in Baguio
City.
Sitio La Presa is actually called Sitio Pungayan, an upland
barangay in Tuba Benguet at the top of Mt. Cabuyao. This sleepy barangay up in
the mountains was now visited by lot of tourists wanting to have a photo taken
at Sitio La Presa.
The easiest and most convenient
way to go to Sitio La Presa was to hire a taxi from Baguio City proper. Travel
time was about 30 o 45 minutes and taxi rental ranging from 1,000 pesos and
above going there and back to the city. The rental also includes the waiting
time of 1 hour.
You may contact Mang Danny at 0906-314-4424; he was
the taxi driver that we hired. We only paid him 700 pesos the lowest taxi
rental you could ever see. He was so kind and he doesn’t take advantage of his
passengers. He fetched us from our transient house going to Sitio La Presa and
back to the house again and waited us while fixing and getting our baggages and
sent us again to the city proper WITHOUT any additional charges. Oh Di ba??
Sobrang bait niya! San ka Pa?? Hehe! :)
Getting
there, you won’t get lost and miss out Sitio La Presa, just follow the tourists
going there as well. Mang Danny’s advice was to go there as early as possible
to avoid traffic and those many people wanting to go that famous place.
The
actual location was several meters away beyond the Radar Station. Just keep
following the concrete road until you see a small store, then there is a dirt
road beside it, at this point you have to walk going to the actual location of
Sitio La Presa and the house portrayed as “Agnes' home". It is going to be a
long walk but its easier going to the location rather than going back because
the road is very steep and the climb is going to be a challenge. Just be
prepared! Haha!

Main attractions? The wooden house where Agnes lives and the wood signage “Sitio La Presa”. Just like me #Fan! :)

Feeling Agnes and Xander! Hehe
Our
experience going there was really worth it, even though my legs got sore and tired
going up again. Haha! But seeing all the landscapes up there is a great rewarding
experience. Every time we saw the 2 radars from afar, we can’t believe that we have
been there and trekked that place.
