First destination on our itinerary was Hongkong Disneyland. After eating breakfast in our hostel we proceeded directly
to Disneyland - The Happiest Place on Earth. We took the MTR from our hostel in
Tsim Sha Tsui to SunnyBay where you'd ride the Disneyland train going to
Disneyland Resort.
The ambiance of Disneyland is so lively starting from the
cute interiors of the Mickey Mouse themed train up to the entrance itself down
to the whole Disneyland Resort. It really brings out the kid in you.
Apart from the windows, the handle bars are made in the shape of
Mickey’s head too! There are also glass capsules containing bronze
sculptures of Disney characters on display within the carriages.
Finally, we arrive at Hong Kong Disneyland!
The Park Entrance Attraction
They said Hong Kong Disneyland is
the smallest one compare to the rest but I just can't get enough especially
anything relate to Mickey. Regardless how old you are, Disneyland is always
dedicated to the young and the young at heart.
Just like every other theme parks, currently Hong Kong Disneyland comprises of seven themed areas hosting different rides, shops, restaurant and live entertainment; Main Street U.S.A., Adventureland, Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, Toy Story Land, Grizzly Gulch and Mystic Point.

Main Street U.S.A.
One
of the attractions that I have very much been looking forward to seeing at Hong
Kong Disneyland is Main Street USA,
designed to resemble an early 20th-century Midwest town.
I can’t get enough of how pretty the sweets shop
looks. I love the baby pink and blue shades, the deep red awning and the large
sweet displayed at the side of the store entrance.
It was nice seeing most of our fellow Filipinos working there, and some were part of the Disneyland Band.
Adventureland
Adventureland is a mysterious and exotic jungles combination of both Africa and Asia. It is the home to Tarzan as well for The Lion King.
For a ride on the wild side, take the Jungle River Cruise.
It is available in three languages – English, Mandarin or Cantonese –
so do make sure you join the right queue. The vessel also goes round Tarzan’s Treehouse.
At one point, you even see people climbing up a tree trying to escape from an angry rhino and a pack of laughing hyenas.
This is one adventurous journey that is filled with water and flames and gives you one heck of an experience!
Besides Tarzan's Treehouse and Jungle River Cruise, spend some time for "Festival of the Lion King" show - a colourful pageant of music and dance performance. We watched this two years ago and hence, we decided to skip.
Fantasyland
Fantasyland is where all those classic stories we have watched during my younger time seems like turning into realities such as The Snow White, Alice in Wonderland, Sleeping Beauty, Dumbo and more.
Finally, here is the Sleeping Beauty Castle! Inspired by the castle in Disney’s Sleeping Beauty, this iconic fairytale palace is the gateway to Fantasyland.
Get swept up in the enchantment of Disney animation in this 3D concert movie starring many favorite Disney characters at Mickey's PhilharMagic.
Magically shrink down to fairy size and discover the secret home of the Disney Fairies like Tinker Bell and her fairy friends.
Tomorrowland
For more thrills and excitement, you gotta check out Tomorrowland. :)
This is where the legendary Space Mountain ride is, along with other outer space-themed attractions like the Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters.
And the iconic Space Mountain that houses a dizzying indoor roller-coaster. This is also where I took the scariest ride of a lifetime.
Toy Story Land
Here we are at the newest land of Hong Kong Disneyland (as of 2012) – Toy Story Land! This themed land is based on one of the Disney Pixar most popular animated film series "Toy Story". Looks like Andy, the young boy from Toy Story films has left his toys unattended in this immerse and highly themed environment.

Meet and greet with Woody and Toy Soldiers from the Toy Story movies at this bright blue barrel in Toy Story Land.
If you’re in the mood for something scarier, take the RC Racer! RC Racer is a high speed U-shaped coaster similar to the pirate ship rides at amusement parks. Percy and his siblings tried this thrilling, gravity-defying race, speeding back and forth on a soaring U-shaped track. So brave! Haha! :)
Look they were at the end of the seat. Haha! :)
Percy waving his hands at me.
Grizzly Gulch
This particular themed land is reminisces an abandoned mining town called "Grizzly Gulch", set amidst mountains and woods. Grizzly Gulch are home to cowboys and gold rushes and being set just like Wild Wild West theme.

Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars - The wildest ride in the West! Grizzly bears send the mine cars racing out of the mountain, backward and forward, through the entire town of Grizzly Gulch.
Percy and I tried this ride and I can't believe I have survived this knowing the fact that I am acrophobic. I have no choice. Haha! The thrill was your mine car was sent racing up a steep rocky incline; but before it can make it to the top, a cable unexpectedly snaps and sends you barreling—backward—down the mountain!
When it’s time for the Disney in the Stars fireworks at night, that’s when you truly get to see how many visitors there are at Hong Kong Disneyland. Everyone in the park is gathered at the front of the castle to catch the colorful fireworks.
And what a massive show it is. The fireworks last for the whole of 12
minutes! Very impressive. You can hardly ever get tired of fireworks
regardless of how many times you’ve seen them. The fact that it all
takes place at a fairy tale castle just makes it that much more magical.
