Across The Mansion there are
cabs and jeepneys passing by to bring you to Camp John Hay. We headed first at
Tree Top Adventure. Treetop Adventure offer attractions to those who would dare to
experience Camp John Hay in a more extreme fashion. The Superman Ride
(zipline), Canopy Ride, and Tree Drop (harnessed free fall) are crowd
favorites. But unfortunately, we didn't try any of their packages because according to
the staff, the line for every activity was too long and it will consume most
our time and we don’t want to waste even a single hour. Maybe next time we vist Baguio, we'll definitely try all their activities.
But for now, we just did our
photoshoot along the area. Haha! ;p
We then decided to explore Camp John Hay Ground first
before we had our late lunch. We had a quick visit at Lost Cemetery, Bell House and Amphitheater.
Cemetery of Negativism
Adorning one slope of a hill at Camp John Hay, the Cemetery of Negativism, also known as the Lost Cemetery, was established by the base’s commanding general John Hightower in the
early 1980s, it is a symbolic site for the burying of negativities —
thoughts, emotions, attitude.
Bell House
Named after General J Franklin Bell, the Bell House used to be the
official vacation residence of the Commanding General of the
Philippines. Today, it has been transformed into a museum that
exemplifies American colonial architecture.
Bell House Amphitheater
Outside is an Amphitheater that also serves as a manicured garden. Again, #PhotoShoot101
A visit to Baguio City is never complete without a stop at Camp John Hay. The place has everything everyone loves - the cool, old Baguio charm and the warmth of nature’s company.
